Unravel (Glassy Sky II)
Digital painting on Clip Studio Paint Pro, April 2019
Part II of the Glassy Sky diptych, the moment immediately after you step into the cosmos unknown (to you.) A free fall is terrifying and beautiful, and the string of you grasping for purchase in the sky serves to unravel you.
Unraveling is not a bad thing, even if it feels like an unwanted death. In a sense, it is death. Death of who you were, of the person you showed up as in the world. In falling and its breathless inevitability, lies adventure, outside of yourself and within. There lies freedom and authenticity.
