Waking up with a sunrise shining into your window is something I consider a gift from the Universe. Maybe because I have not experienced that myself in many years. And maybe because having the time, resources, and presence of mind to plop on some headphones and play a beloved song sounds like a heavenly way to start one’s day to me, I decided to try to capture such a moment. Additionally, I wanted to capture the retro-wave/synth movement taking over my YouTube playlists, as well as pay tribute to #browngirlbeauty, #blackgirlbeauty, and #curlpower, as always.
